From 2000 through 2002, FDBF in partnership with ACCESS foundation organized a series of meetings with the participation of the editors-in-chief of the most influential newspaper publications in the Balkans. |

This initiative aimed to increase the exchange of information, the understanding and the cooperation among the leaders in the field of public opinion and to contribute towards the casting away of the long-standing negative stereotypes of the image of the neighbor and towards unnecessary political and economic rivalries.
In a series of meetings, the editors-in-chief of the largest Bulgarian newspapers met colleagues from Athena, Belgrade, Bucharest, Istanbul, Skopje and Tirana. The participants discussed the common problems that media face in the different countries. They established lasting professional contacts and planned future cooperation.
